One Punch Man
A Japanese manga series called One Punch Man was created by ONE and Yusuke Murata. Saitama, a superhero who can defeat any foe with a single blow, searches for a suitable foe after becoming weary of his fights because it isn’t challenging enough in the show.
One Punch Man was first released as a webcomic in 2009, then from 2012 to 2018, it was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shnen Jump magazine. As of September 2019, each chapter has been compiled into 22 tank-bon volumes. The manga was licensed by Viz Media for English publication in North America, and the first volume was made available on April 7, 2015. In Japan, a Madhouse-produced anime television adaptation aired from October 5 to December 21, 2015. J.C. Staff’s second season aired from April 9 to July 2, 2019. Funimation only produced an English dub for the first season; Season 2’s dub is still being worked on and will be published at some point after its finale airs on Toonami this Fall. Both seasons are already accessible on Crunchyroll with English subtitles.
